On 24 February 2021, the project HERAS Plus and Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) have launched today “The Manual for External Evaluation of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)”.

The KAA Director Mr. Naim Gashi and HERAS Plus Team Leader Mr. Aqim Emurli stated that this manual was developed in close cooperation and it will serve as an important instrument for all international experts to have a clear overview of Kosovo’s higher education system, including here accreditation processes.

The manual provides practical guidance to the international evaluation experts assigned to evaluate HEIs on behalf of the KAA. With launching of this manual, KAA is moving towards on fulfilling the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) recommendations and improving the application of quality standards. Noteworthy, the manual constitutes one of the agreed support activities under the co-signed MoU in November 2020 between two parties with the aim of supporting the capacity building of KAA and fulfillment of required criteria for the return of Kosovo Accreditation Agency in ENQA. .
