In close cooperation with Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI), the project organized an official event with regard to the ‘performance-based funding of public universities’.

The aim of the event was to launch new activity between the MESTI and HERAS Plus on the above-mentioned topic. The event gathered the Rectors, Vice-Rectors and representatives from all public universities, Ministry of Finance, MESTI representatives and similar. For this purpose, the project has engaged Mr. Dominik Reisner from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research who will lead this activity. During the event, Mr. Reisner presented the performance-based funding of public universities – Austrian case. MESTI Deputy Minister, Mr. Dukagjin Pupovci and WUS Austria Head of Finance and Managing Director, Ms. Veronika Nitsche informed the audience that within the given activity, both sides will work on the development of a roadmap and administrative instruction that will prescribe the methodology for financing public universities based on performance contracts as foreseen by the current law on higher education.
