Empowerment of students and young researchers through the Research Grant Projects

On October 1st, one of the several student beneficiaries of the Research Grant awarded project “Automated Examination Timetabling in the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering – University of Prishtina” defended a bachelor thesis developed in the scope of the project.

The project tackles the examinations timetabling by developing new optimization methods based on metaheuristics and artificial intelligence techniques.

Lead by the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Universiteti i Prishtinës, the project partners with the Technische Universität Wien (TU Wien) and University of Sarajevo towards the Research Grant’s objective: empowering young and early career researchers through capacity building, enabling participation and networking in regional initiatives/collaborations to produce and disseminate new knowledge in the areas stipulated by the National Research Programme of Kosovo.

Research Grant scheme is led by HERAS Plus consortium member Centre for Social Innovation and the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation.
